Small valley between Katavati and Exambela

There is an small oasis hidden below the villages of katavati and Exambela. This green and fertile area can be shown as one of the main gardens of Sifnos. Each time we are driving along the road from Apolonnia to the southern island, we have a look at this quiet valley. Last year, we decided to stop there and take a while for walking through the numerous pathways. It is certainly the place with the most beautiful pigeon houses of the island despite some of them could be restored. Here, you will also find a lot of gardens, olives trees and kine. And a fantastic 360°with Profitis Ilias mount, the string of villages, Simbopoula monastery. Very quiet, distant enough from the crowd especially in July, and certainly a good starting point for new walks.
